WHAT IS B-A-M-M!™?
B-A-M-M! is the acronym for Bust-A-Move Monday, which is an initiative to bolster black-owned businesses in the Memphis community.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
On the first Monday in each month, a chosen black-owned business in the Memphis community is patronized by B-A-M-M! supporters.
While B-A-M-M! recipients are black-owned businesses, B-A-M-M! embraces the community at large. The ultimate goal is to create wealth in the black community which make a favorable impact on the overall stability of the Memphis economy–not just for this generation, but for generations to come.
IS IT FREE?
I’m glad you asked. YES….it’s FREE! As a B-A-M-M! recipient, you don’t have to pay or purchase anything. You do not have to commit to join any organizations, churches, or affiliations.
HOW DOES A BUSINESS BECOME A B-A-M-M!™ RECIPIENT?
It’s easy! There are two ways a business can be considered as a B-A-M-M! recipient…by request or by recommendation. Making a request or recommendaton does not guarantee a selection. To make a request or recommendation, please call (901) 454-7777.
Once you agree to be a B-A-M-M! recipient, you are asked to track and report the total dollars spent in the business and how that total compares to that of a normal Monday or typical business day. Finally, every B-A-M-M! recipient is challanged to become a producer of wealth by patronizing future and past B-A-M-M! recipients whenever possible.
HOW WILL MY BUSINESS BENEFIT AS A RESULT OF B-A-M-M!™?
B-A-M-M! has afforded its’ recipients the opportunity to reach an entirely new audience. In many cases, B-A-M-M! has tripled or quadrupled the recipient’s sales for a typical Monday. A recent survey revealed that many B-A-M-M! participants have become faithful customers of past B-A-M-M! recipients.

Additionally, an Economic Empowerment Conference is conducted as a “resource” for business owners to help them embrace success through economic empowerment. This conference is an excellent spring-board for business owners seeking ways to improve their business’ financial position. There may be other educational opportunities extended throughout the year. |
